I had met the owners at the twin lakes arts festival where I purchased a Pymatuning cutout map. The piece is awesome. After buying several pieces from Allison , I asked her to make me two custom maps for friends, she did lake Nippising in Canada and Tapps in Washington state. They knocked these pieces out of the park. They are wonderfully cut maps that bring the lake to life. Also working with the owners is just a pleasure. They are super nice , down to earth , helpful and genuine people. I love what they craft up and it’s just such an easy process to get what you’re looking for. I loved the photo I had done on wood. It was a 16x20 and came out incredible! It was a pressed for time project and they got it done in the timeframe I needed it for!! Highly recommend, if you are looking for a unique gift this is it!!

Ordered 2 of these custom engraved boards and matching spreaders for wedding gifts. They turned out absolutely beautiful!

Shipping was fast and the tiles were packaged very carefully with a lot of bubble wrap to prevent breakage. They look just as advertised and they add charm to my herb garden. Highly recommend. (In the picture, the green sign is not from Black River Arts. I had to put that sign there so the yard maintenance people wouldn't spray it with chemicals and kill it! So far it's working!)

This map (on the right) was specially made for me, so it's a one of a kind of my hometown. This map and the readily available Pittsburgh map (to the left, with some special requests) were available to me within a week of discussion. The end results, as can be seen, are beautiful works of art now hanging on my office wall. I have, in only a few days, gotten a myriad of compliments and requests regarding where my colleagues could get similar pieces (one is already in production of my colleague's hometown in Mali, West Africa); it is not taking long at all.
